Pediatric Dentistry Center Philippines (PDCP) is the Dental Department of Dr. Fe del Mundo Medical Center, formerly known as Children’s Medical Center Philippines - the first pediatric hospital in the Philippines founded by the distinguished Filipino scientist and pediatrician, Dr. Fe del Mundo. PDCP is a fully equipped pediatric dentistry clinic that caters to children ages 0-19 and individuals with special needs. PDCP is the only training institution in the Philippines that is recognized and accredited by the Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Philippine Pediatric Dental Society, Inc., Philippine Dental Association and Professional Regulation Commission. Since 1996, PDCP has produced more than 150 dentists who specialize in pediatric dentistry and 21 licensed pedodontist (pediatric dentist).

Our Milestones

  • PDDC was formed

    PDDC wasformed

    • PDC was founded with a three prong mission of service, and research with the ultimate objective to uplift the oral health of the Filipino children

    • PDC was inaugurated

    • Externship Training Program started – a 6-month post-graduate program on pediatric dentistry

  • Residency training program started

    • The Externship training program was lengthened to 9-months to develop the general dentists' skills in handling pediatric patients

    • PDC was renovated as it opened its operatories to private patients

  • PEDOCOP started

    The PEDOCOP is a short course program to train the general dentist in preventive strategies for very young children. Its modules comprise of lectures and hands-on workshops.

  • AEPD training program started

    • The Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry is a 2-year specialty program oriented to the accepted standards of the specialty practice.

  • Partnership with National Children’s Hospital started

    • All our residents do hospital rotations in NCH

  • PDC became the Dental Department of Fe del Mundo Medical Center

    • The partnership with FDMMC is further strengthened as the AEPD program is recognized as a hospital-based program, with FDMMC as the co-presentor of the certificate.

  • AEPD First Year Graduation

    AEPD First Year Graduation

    • There was a change of management of Dr. Fe del Mundo Medical Center to Mount Grace, as it is now called FDMMC (Fe del Mundo Medical Center)

  • PBPD granted Level 1 Accreditation to the AEPD program

    • The Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry recognizes the AEPD program and granted its Level 1 accreditation.

  • PPDSI recognized the AEPD specialists as fellows

    • All AEPD graduates of PDCP are recognized by PPDSI as specialists and are given a Fellow category in membership.

  • PRC recognized the first AEPD batch as specialists

    • All AEPD gradates of PDCP are recognized by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) as specialists.

  • PBPD granted Level 2 Accreditation to the AEPD program

  • PEDOCOP Theory online launched
